Karl Marx once wrote that capitalism had the seeds of its own destruction. He looked at capitalism as an economic, political, and historical mechanism as having factors at play that actively sought to undermine its own existence. In other words, the more successful you become, the more you pave the road to your eventual doom.
As it turns out, a lot of Karl Marx and, later, communist thinkers’ prognostications about capitalism turned out to be completely inaccurate. Far from eating itself, capitalism is very much alive and well in this day and age. On the other hand, communism is almost universally laughed at. This then leaves many people to think that the whole idea of a system somehow or someway eating itself and containing the seeds of its own destruction is essentially bunked.
Well, I beg to differ. There are certain economic processes and marketing systems that do have their own seeds of destruction. In many cases, these seeds are not at all hidden. They are actually very easy to figure out. Take the case of free fuck sites.
